Greetings, fellow beer enthusiasts! We’re thrilled to have you as part of our community at Small Sips, a site dedicated to the art and joy of beer tasting.
Our founder, a Melbourne-based blogger, grew up near the Abbotsford brewery and has been surrounded by the aroma of beer from an early age. This early exposure sparked a lifelong passion for exploring the subtle nuances and complexities of different brews. Today, we’re proud to share this passion with you through our personal reviews and tasting notes on a variety of brews.
We’re excited to announce that we’ve been diligently working on our tasting uploads, and we now have notes available up to the end of October 2023. These notes are a treasure trove of information, offering brief descriptions to guide you on whether to try the beer yourself.
We’ve had some memorable tasting sessions at various venues. One such venue was La Sirène’s old premises in Fairfield. Established in 2010, La Sirène Brewing is an artisanal brewery known for creating Farmhouse, Wild, Oak-Aged and Coolship Ales. Their unique brewing techniques and the use of wild fermentation make their beers truly special.
Another noteworthy venue was the Bridge Road Brewers pop-up/temporary home in Brunswick. This pop-up bar was made entirely of cardboard and focused on sustainability. It offered a unique experience with Bridge Road Brewers’ full line-up of core and seasonal beers across six taps.
Looking ahead, we’re eagerly anticipating visits to the new premises of these breweries in the New Year. La Sirène has now moved to a new location in Reservoir, while Bridge Road Brewers has opened a brand new 350-seat brewery and dining hall in Brunswick. These new locations promise to offer exciting new opportunities for beer tasting.
As always, we encourage you to explore the world of beer with us. Whether you’re a seasoned beer connoisseur or just starting your beer-tasting journey, we hope our site will help you discover your next favourite brew.
Cheers to good beer and great company!
